Coach

Victor Assaf is a veteran strength and conditioning coach with more than 20 years of experience and a comprehensive background across CrossFit, weightlifting, gymnastics, and adaptive training. He holds CrossFit Level 1 certification and additional credentials in Olympic weightlifting, Power Monkey, Spot the Flaw, CrossFit Strongman, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Anatomy, and AIT (Adaptive & Inclusive Training). Victor combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of movement, program design, and athlete development.

 

A lifelong competitor, Victor has participated in the CrossFit Open from 2011–2026 and earned a top-four overall finish at the CrossFit Games in 2021. He has been a standout in adaptive competition—placing 3rd at the Adaptive Games in 2021, and capturing 1st place in 2022 and 2023. In 2024 he finished first in the Adaptive CrossFit Open, Adaptive CrossFit Semifinals, and Adaptive CrossFit Games. Victor continued his competitive success with first-place finishes in the Adaptive CrossFit Open and Wodapalooza in 2026.

 

Victor’s coaching philosophy centers on teaching athletes how to approach workouts intentionally—prioritizing technique, focus, and full-body engagement while maintaining variety and enjoyment. He emphasizes scalable progressions, movement quality, and mental engagement so every athlete—whether new to CrossFit or a seasoned competitor—can train consistently, safely, and confidently. At CF Sea Dog, Victor creates an inclusive, challenging environment where members develop resilience, skill, and a sustainable love of fitness.
